how soft is very soft lol? i think its only slightly softer the the zx6 shock . i cant find the chart now dont tell me it would be ****

According to racetech is is 9.1kg/mm which is 510#. same as stock

Could be useful, what is free length between centers?

looking at the chart the shocks on pointies are ****ter than on teh curvys

Same as the SV? What bang on? 337mm is stock
Yes pointy stock shock is 330mm... linkage is totally different, rising rate for a start and less initial leverage.


right you have 4 adjustments to worry about. (this is just how i would start proceedings, everything is subject to change when you ride it, and me talking out of my 'rse)
1 Preload, big collar around top of spring. You need to adjust this to set your sag. Set it so the bike compresses about 1.5 inches from fully extended when you sit on it (total sag).

2 rebound, set this so when you bounce on the back of the bike it springs back a tiny bit further than equilibrium. This is the adjuster screw in the bottom clevis

3 comp, this is the adjuster at the top near the reservoir, usually a flathead screw. set it about 1/3 of the way out and see how it feels

4 hi speed comp. a hex around the outside of (3). set it 1/3 of the way out from full hard and leave it there

WB = that 08 shocks gonna be to soft for you mate, the shadows only a slip of a lad and its was to soft for him mate(thats sounds so gay)

If it turns out to be so then I have one spare from 06 ZX6R that is better rate. About 540# so a little stiffer than stock

its 338mm so roughly

tut lol i was looking forward to this bit of bling, its an upgrade from the stock shock tho?..... it pretty much brand new only covered roughly 500 miles cost 60 quid
