The machine boots up but is riddled with virus's, so a re install is required , when you boot from cd to re install it cannot see the hard drive, I am now trying to re install from the main windows ...

or I am going to run it over with my car

some older boards need to have the sata drivers on a usb stick of a floppy ?
is this an old board ?

it isnt an old board.. but I need a floppy to USB as it is a laptop with no A drive.

you can slipstream the sata drivers onto a custom windows install disc, the same way you can for raid drivers, i cant remember how but have done it in he past.

interesting, I have the drivers now I just need a usb floppy drive so I can hit f6 at start up.. oh and some floppy disks.

yeah I have done this before with a program called Nlite to make custom install disks. lots of guides out there too.
