Remember that RiDE are part of the MCN stable, and who recalls when they asked for this site's help for aftermarket part recommendations? They mainly ignored the members and stuck in generic parts they were selling...

All you can really infer from that article is that to drastically improve the suspension on the SV you have to substantially change it; and then you options are limitless.

I am yet to be convinced that twiddling adjusters based on rough guess on a cold bike can result in a good setup, especially when you are starting with parts which are pretty far out from where you would start given choice anyway.

For my own experience what I have now is better than stock, and better than it was when I first fitted it. Not really a surprise given the settings that were there. Could it be better? Almost certainly, but could I tell the difference with my level of riding skill? Probably not.
