Depending when it is I may join you. Are you stopping off at Devils Bridge? If so could meet you there then part company again just after Settle where I would head towards Skipton and home if thats ok?

just my 2p, for a group ride thats quite long, 186m and 5hr 33 of riding, from experience, theres a risk of losing people and newb being put of by such a long run, especially after you factor in stops for collecting people back up, comfort breaks and petrol/lunch stops

The last section from Settle down to Accrington and back up to Preston can be removed thus making it about an hour shorter. Am going to recce those roads in the next few days, have been told they are good but fancy a look first. Like I said initially, the route is very provisional.

Sounds good to me

I guess Nemo's got a point on the mileage, otherwise i'd have said it'd be rude not to take in Buttertubs while your up near Hawes

But count me in, def need the cobwebs blowing off the ol' SV. Irksy i'm just down the road outside Southport if you fancy a reconnoiter (i'm good at Scrabble ) I know most of them roads pretty well.

I don't mind bringing up the rear either so ppl dont get lost on the day

nah, Corbin seats on SVs are perfectly comfy....its the Raptor seat that resembles sitting on a tree stump!
