mine has its give me all sorts of problems
 its common to remove them but making sure the flap in the open position, I'm not very technical so i just lube it often.

yea you can disconnect it in the open position but the electrics keep your FI light on which is a ball ache hence having to remove the servo and a few cables and wires, i am an electrical dork so i leave it alone lol
