I've had good service from companies like http://www.kais-ohlins.co.uk/ and http://www.k-tech.uk.com/ in rebuilding OEM shocks for my 2001 ZX6R

Not really, when filling it just attach filling tool and turn regulator, you are a good 2 foot away from the shock. I don't consider it too dangerous.
Discharging it perhaps but just point the valve away from you. The actual volume of gas is very small

I'm "dying" to blow myself up!
Please tell me how? No seriously, I'm not a total fool and know about the dangers of working with nitrogen but as mentioned, I have a fella to drain and recharge for me. Its the taking apart bit I want to know about in advance. |

Regarding rebuilding a ZX10R shock, I found the following discussion on the SVRIDER forum.

Yeah, thanks, i saw that too but the manual in the link does not cover the 06-07 shock.
I'm not sure how to get at the bladder. i would also liek to know if its possible to modify it to allow for a valve? Read somewhere that someone was doing it but now cant find the link. Think ill scrap this plan all together and just start saving for the full ZX10R ![]() |

What, it has no valve? You sure it is not just a cap covering valve?
To get to bladder you release gas, push end cap in and remove circlip, then you can pull bladder out.
