if its a bit soggy you might have air trapped in the banjo at the MC. get a rag and put it under the banjo then depress pedal slightly then crack the banjo open while keeping the pressure on the pedal. just before the pedal reaches full stroke tighten banjo.

Sorted it.

I stupidly gave away a MC last week with a braided hose and I could have just ran that. The problem turned out to be the previous owner of the Harris rearsets had cut off to adjustment rod and it was too short to fit properly. I drilled and tapped the rod and moved the adjuster nut out so the fitting was flush with the end of the rod and screwed in a 5mm dome headbolt and spring washer. That's moved it up perfectly and its now only moves 1.5 cm to fully locked.

Doesn't really matter, I never use it anyway, but at least now its there in case of emergencies.
