Dont skoosh cleaner into the sidestand switch itll knacker it, prevent the circuit from closing and creating a fault. The seal on the pin that the stand pushes up allows dirt/dampness to ingress, the switch on the stand really is rubbish. Theres a way to test it in the manual to see if it will open/close. Until you get a replacement you can short it out at the connector under the tank that will allow the starter circuit to work.

Piston clean,rings. Overhaul:Throttle body,Injectors,Brakes,Forks. Remove/refit:Exhaust,Radiator,Oil cooler,Throttle,Air filter,Tank. Replace: Oil,Coolant,grease,brake hoses & bleed.
