Well i just checked and I wasn't born when it came out, i can imagine there were lost of protests and calls for it to be banned but also it was a movie, on the big screen. Not some crappy youtube effort or a danish cartoon. Plus i doubt anyone died over it. i get your point though.

Their belief must be very fragile if they think the religion can be damaged by somebody at the other side of the world making a video.
If, as they tell us, Islam is a peaceful religion then surely their God will be angrier with the rioters than the makers of the film.

You'd think so but apparently not. Although you can say that about any group thats hides behind the cloak of religion to use violence on others.

they are only doing what Christianity done hundreds of years ago except back then you got burned, stoned, beheaded for even daring to speak of blasphemy.

Muslims feel very very strong about their faith just like Christians did hundreds of years ago. Christianity almost wiped out Islam threw violence and the bible but like all westerners we forget what we have done and continue to do.

this is why i'm not religious as it creates hate between fellow human beings. i dont mind people having a faith but when that faith becomes organised into a group that's when the trouble starts. human beings have always thought that there must be more to life so have always believed in a higher being or creator, some people took this belief further and started preaching their thoughts which then gave them power over the ones they turned to their religion. religion is about control nothing more nothing less, belief is another thing as it's personal.

i don't blame them but i don't condone their actions as they are just like soldiers who follow orders blindly be those orders good or bad.

So you're saying humanity hasn't progressed in the last few hundred years, in their case anyway?

I feel strongly about lots of things, but I didn't feel the need to kill people when they changed opal fruits to starburst. I don't see how you can't blame them. Everyone has the choice of free will. Shall i throw this petrol bomb at the US embassy or shall i go home and write a strongly worded letter to show my dislike at their actions.

Islam is 500 years younger than Christianity, 500 years ago Christianity wasn't so placid either.

I did, but I couldn't find the appropriate people to kill.

One day I shall have my vengeance.

Bib, you can't go on about how bad things were hundreds of years ago, a lot of **** went down back then, this is civilised society now, totally different to back then.

Christianity has evolved, this type of behaviour would not be tolerated now, why should it be from Muslims or any other radical faith?

Because for one thing Islam hasn't had as long to evolve and for another the countries Islam thrives in are less... developed would appear to be the most diplomatic word.

We aren't living 500 years in the past though. And don't even get me started on when they made jif to cif.
