I'm 12 stone and have an 06 zx10r shock fitted. Rider sag is set nicely and comp and rebound are in the right ball park too. Spring rate is #465 or 8.3 kg/mm and racetech calculator recommends around 8 kg/mm for my weight so i'd say if you're over 14 stone an 06/07 zx10r shock would likely be undersprung compared to some more suitable gsxr shocks.

See this to compare shock data and visit racetech to use their spring rate calculator to get an idea of what's suited to your weight.

BTW, are you selling this shock or did you just spot it on ebay and post a link?
Was purely helping a few people out because their hard to find, I'm not selling it myself no.

People all have different preferences...

eBay Links

Please refrain from posting eBay links to items unless it is your own item for sale. If you spot an item on eBay that is of interest to another member then please try to contact them by PM.

Yep you're right, there is no right or wrong set up for suspension and a lot is down to personal preference, however that's mainly dialing in the settings. Spring rate really is dependent on rider weight and needs to be matched as best as possible to get things right IMHO.

I'll bear that in mind next time, I've got an ex BSB mechanic who dials in my suspension for me, met him through someone at my workplace.
