It may be a Tl engine with Jap electrics but the bike was built by Italians and thats usually enough to make it useless for any practical purpose Have you thought about turning it into an ornament?

Need I remind you, Moto Guzzi is Italian. What do you guys have against the Wops, anyway?

last night it broke down on the way home. Ran worse and worse then wouldn't pull from a set of lights so I ended up being recovered home. It would tick over once cooled down so it appears to be something happening when it's warming up and under load.

I'm ringing up the shop later to see what they can do but to be honest if I never see it again it'll be too soon.

I've nothing against Italian bikes BTW. This is my dream bike but it's rapidly becomming a nightmare. I've wanted one since they first appeared and only got an SV cos I couldn't get a 650 raptor.

I'll keep you all posted with what's happening.

It's a Cagiva Raptor not a TL...

You're right Mitch but the engine and most of the electrics are TL 1000 though

Probably not even vaguely related, bu the symptoms sound identical to my sv. It was a sticky choke cable. It idles ok when it's not too hot, but when it warms up, it splutters and misses and eventually dies.

Now I know why you were willing to swap on a rideout, id have never seen you or my bike again

Sounds really frustrating, bikes not even that old is it? Already been said, must be electrical problems so let them sort it out. Not on though either way

Hope its sorted soon
