all it does it make the bike run a higher gear map which gives it an initial better low down punch but totally F8cks up your top end.

If your bike runs badly without then id suggest the fueling is out and needs richening bottom end.

Each to their own but knowing what i do i wouldnt put one near my bike.

I could sell them and make alot on what is really a 20pence resistor but wont..

by all accounts, the pointy SV is restricted for noise and emissions reasons, at below half throttle and below 4krpm - both conditions have to be true.

About the only difference i noticed is that tickover is a bit louder. I don't expect the bike to perform all that well at low revs and low throttle. It'd be a bit backwards if it did.

I didn't notice any difference at the top end at all. I don't think the fueling map is any different at the top.

The resistor is 15k-ohm and needs to go across the pink and black wires from the gear position sensor. This is from memory so worth checking before anyone decides to try it.

You can also use a 6.8k resistor or fifth gear map.
The fueling isnt touched on the SV as it has no air boost like the Busa it would never reach 150 mph which is when the boost cuts in so all its changing is the ignition map in the first three gears my SV was actually better on fuel with it in.

How do you know that?. Did you dyno it back to back to see what happens?.
