Okies dokie
To date i have had Std bulbs, Halfords brillance Ring Ultra xenon (60%) Osram Silverstars Philips X-Treme To be honest, ANY bulb is better than the Std. There is VERY LITTLE difference between all the uprated. I swapped out the silverstars for the xtreme ones and to be honest stuggled to see the differnence. They are slightly better in the car (Again from silver stars) and thats where they are staying. I put the silvers back in the bike. The problem is the light unit on the SV. Its cheap and legal. The curveys have a bad lens design, and the curveys a bad reflector design, so what ever you put in there isnt going to help much and thats a fact. Save you money and just buy either of the 2 you have listed. Any of the +50% bulbs will be fine. HTH |

On my Speed Triple, I've got one standard Triumph bulb and one Halfords Super Brilliance Xenon (+50%). There's absolutely no difference between the two. Either Triumph fit decent bulbs or the Halfords aren't as great as they claim.

Yes, it is possible, but nothing I'd call easy... someone will be along shortly to remind me I'm a mechanical numpty, though.
