4 litres by my sums - tank of 17 litres on a pointy, flashing fuel light after 12 and solid light after 16.

By my reckoning then if 13 litres had taken me 198 miles then the 4 litres remaining would have taken me to 259 total. Almost worth running dry to find out...

I was wondering about this the other day. I had the fuel light flashing at me, and I started stressing out thinking I was going to run out of fuel

2001 sv650s, how far do you get (on average) once the light is solid if you ride really "gently"? I wont stress out when the flashing light comes on again, its probably only half empty

this has got me thinking aswell. I get about 110/120 before my fuel light comes on. It never flashes. I can then fill up about 10l before its full. Does that meen I have 6liters still in when Im filling up?

Its a K3 pointy with 2bros can.

I think the most ive ever filled my bike up is about 12 litres and thats when the light has been on. The earlier pointies dont have the flashing/steady light option is just on and thats that. Seems a bit daft that the reserve light comes on when theres still a 1/3 of the tank full

Well, theoretically somewhere between 5 to 15 miles but in my own experience, about 200 yards.

Coming from experience... it's not fun at all!

(And it wasn't my fault I rolled into the petrol station with the clutch in and only just made it... the petrol station I was aiming for was closed for refurbishment!)
