Good deed for the day. 1 less F###wit on the road.

Yeah, what a bloody surprise that must have been.

There's never a sodding copper around when I need one, but they spend a hell of a lot of time sat on the hard shoulder of the A1 at the moment pointing their stupid ANPR cameras at me - although sat in a car by themselves, what the hell good it is I don't know.

Im not sure if I read it on here or somewhere else, as regards the phone issue. If you see someone on their phone whilst driving simply hold your horn down until they take note and stop, this is more effective if you are in a car as their horns tend to be louder, but surely us guys on bikes can have a go too. Simply beep continuously until they cease their call, if they look round as if they dont know whats going on simply point at them and make a phone symbol with ure hand, only if it is safe to do so ofcourse. This tactic normally embarasses people into stopping or if you have a loud horn they wont be able to hear their call! I think this is a great idea however I take no responsibility to car drivers who get violent or other daft things!

I've started doing a hand gesture that's basically followed by the hand sign for a mobile phone at drivers who are using phones.

Now, I'm not endorsing this kind of criminal behaviour. It's not big. It's not clever. It is however, very funny

Many moons ago I did a short (and very wet) stint as a bike courier in Nottingham. One of the lads that worked the same area had a tactic for dealing with cretins who cut him up: he had a can of spray paint taped to the side of his bike (can't remember for the life of me if it was an NTV650 or that shaft drive 500 kawasaki that every other courier rode). Every time he was cut up, he'd keep his cool and just filter alongside at the next set of lights, lean down and "tag" the offender. All round nottingham for a while you saw cars with bright yellow spots on their doors and you knew to give them a wide berth Perhaps if you could incorporate some sort of cut out mobile phone template then the police could go round and pick up everyone with a mobile phone graphic on their doors at their leisure

Was on my way to Paignton bike night last week and was in a queue of traffic being held up by someone slow on the back roads, cop car about 2 or in front of me...then a minibus comes the other way, driver very obviously talking into his mobile, you'd have to have been blind not to notice.

Copper did nowt
