Have you considered getting some thin thermal inner gloves for your regular gloves?

Won't be waterproof of course. But...

If you put them on first, then put on a pair of those plastic gloves you get at petrol stations then your normal gloves you'll have a warm and waterproof solution. Only thing is your hands may sweat a little, and if your gloves are leather they wont appreciate the rain.

A BIG no no is to put latex surgeon type gloves on under summer gloves if you get caught out with the wrong gloves. I done it and the sweat caused my hands to feel sooooo much colder.

OK, these break your budget but they're brilliant gloves:

Very warm- warmer than Pathans, by a fair bit- fully armoured, not actually waterproof but they do a good impression. They're a little bulky but I'd still happily do a trackday in them, they don't restrict movement as long as you have the right size. There's better out there, and I'd sooner have goretex, but these beat gloves twice their price in the last big Ride test, and came second top for warmth and joint top for protection I think.

Oh, I've got a pair of Ms of these, they're a very small M so they don't even fit my girlyhands. So if you're a child, or perhaps some sort of mutant, perhaps you'd like to buy them

Not too helpful now,but I bought a "returned as faulty" pair of virtually new HG gortex gloves for £5 at the BMF show.No idea what they cost in the shop, but they seem fine to me.

The gloves I bought from HG have a blade on the index finger on the left glove which was proven useful today when riding to York - It pi$$ed it down and the blade was most useful at helping clear the visor.
