don't know why you want to bother, just do away with it, and just make sure your in neutral before you start the bike, which you should be away every time, + if you still have the cut off on the side stand, it won't start away.
So you can't go wrong really

Make yourself a cheap immoboliser.

30mm of fairly stiff single core wire.
Strip both ends.
Bend into U-shape.
Remove connector from Clutch switch.
Plug newly formed immoboliser key (OK, bit of bent wire) into connectors.
Wedge connector in with the loom and choke cables that leave the left hand grip.
When parked up somewhere and feel the need for a little extra security, take immoboliser key (bit of bent wire) with you.

My patented immoboliser has only ever fallen out once, but that was the mk1 version. mk2 has slightly thicker wire so is a better fit.
