You can't really afford to ride that aggressively on a bike. Defensive! If you need to let out some aggression rinse 'em at the lights.

thats a good point actually! happen to me last night (apparently i was invisible!!) so i just thought, well the lights are coming up and im going to filter striaght past them and leave them for dust! meaning they wont cause any problems to me anymore! haha.

nothing better than seeing 2 rows of cars getting smaller in your mirrors!

Trick is taking the mirrors off when you have a clear escape route.

White van is not a good target as few WVM give a damn if their veeehickle gets a bit dinged.

As said 'bike vs van' there is no contest but 'shoulder vs mirror' is more even.

For all their abuse out of the window it would take far bigger nackers than most WVM actually have to knock a biker over. The consequences could be massive.

With regards to the bike, its very unlikely there is anything wrong. Straight cut gears are always noisy and you may be listening more closely than before. I believe i am the only person to have a gearbox go in the warranty period (@7000miles), second gear seized on the output shaft and of course Suzuki wouldnt touch it due to me doing the 4000mile service. But I can rant about that all day somewhere else. anyway,

The bike has a warranty for another year so use it and see what happens, any clutch problems will not be covered anyway.

ICEM4N, Why would you subject your nearly new motorcycle to a burnout, placing massive strain on the engine/gearbox (with foot on rear brake) and, assuming it worked, taking about 1000 miles worth of use out of your expensive rear tyre to supposedly 'upset' the van driver!

No offence mate but I'm not entirely sure you should be riding motorcycles if you are gonna react in such an aggressive manner - we all get anoyed with divvy drivers at times but your actions seem very extreem - and why punish your bike as an attempt to agravate mr.van driver?

Is this a wind up...?

I have accidently on purpose "clipped" a mirror when someone cut me up a while back, he pulled right accross the nose of the biker in front of me (no inicator btw). The biker promptly extended the middle of his fingers, and I had mirror to mirror contact. Accidently. Target fixation? who knows
