Yep, feeling quite fortunate and upbeat despite the grief and cost so far. I've been looking for a replacement for around the £1500 mark which is all i've got to spare at the minute so to get it back in what looks like a repairable state is a big bonus, even if it costs me a few hundred quid to get on the road again.

The irony of the sticker is not lost on me! Maybe I should send the photos to alphadot for use in their promotional materials

Yeah, I just want to get it started first, and then i'll run it for a while with just the non-working bits fixed before I worry about the cosmetics.

I think i'm actually more pi$$ed off with the insurance company than the scumbags who stole it - at least you can rely on thieves to thieve stuff, I didn't expect in my naivity (spelling?) to get shafted over forgetting to tell my insurers that I'd moved

I looked all over for that bike, I didn't realised it was a forum member, not that I could have tried any harder though!

No probs Pete, just hope the police managed to get some prints off it, i'd wager the robbing ba*&!rds have probably been caught before for something similar. Not exactly sure if that's enough to convict though if they haven't been caught with it?
