tyres are ment to be scrubbed in for 100 miles. its sumat to do with all the oil n residue fron the mould soaking into the rubber. n it takes 100miles for it all to leak out deno if leak out is right word but it makes sense to me.

100 miles is recommended, I presume in a display of the manufacturers avoiding liability. They can be scrubbed in far less than that.

Somebody mentioned earlier its a confidence thing. Totally agree. We scrub new race tyres in about 3 or 4 laps, you dont need speed just lean angle. Gradually lean more each time and be gentle with the throttle.

The 100 miles figure is probably a distance somebody dreamed up to cover their **** as you left their tyre fitting bay.

I put Diablo's on my 650S a few weeks ago the roads were nice and dry and the tyres were great after about 25-30 miles i just went canny on the twisties and now they feel great seem much better than the metzeler mez4's
