Thge only time i thought it had done something was when we used it directly into the carbs on an AX GT. You pour it in and it makes a whole heap of black **** puff out the exhaust. Im sure it was just psychological though.

I'm not a redex fan, if your carbs need cleaning that badly pull them in bits and do it properly. But, the SV engine isn't so high compression that the reduction in octane will kill it.

If you want to decoke engine, then best thing is water. Rev it up and spray some down the carb mouth, does no harm and will steam clean the motor.

Bear in mind super unleaded is denser as a general rule. But viscosity also plays its part.

So if its denser, and more viscous, then engine will suck less of it, but get more energy from it. But it costs more, negating any benefit.
I'd say there are so many variables at play that it's not possible to give a full answer. So I use the cheap stuff.
