With a stock SV, there isn't that much difference in flow from a slip on can to the standard one.

And you try any can on the market, it will be so similar as to be not worth a jetting change against any other.

No need for a dyno tune ... the jet kit tells you what jet to use and any problems you run into it shows you how to correct it.

Easiest is slingshot stuff, but SRAD isnt much harder and better kit.

Re. jet kits and stuff, there are generally no jetting problems just with a slipon can. So if you want to spend £60 on a jet kit knock yourself out...

Isn't a stock muffler much more restrictive?

Not much more than the stock headers.

well yes - but the backpressure helps midrange torque

to get the bhp i got I had to put in injected cams (its a curvy), then do all the jetting, balancing etc

result 71 BHP and 45 ft/lb torque!!

then I had to do suspension and brakes to match!!

no racing for me, just wanna make the bike at low rpms a little more snappy.

Why dont you just change the rear sprocket?
Top end will be affected slightly but 0-60 will be quicker.
