Thank you every one for your kind words and good advice.
 To dispel the feelings of rage and anguish I jumped on my little bike and took a ride over to my local climbing venue for a couple of technical boulder problems. From there and once my fingers were shot, I went exploring the locality and clocked up about forty miles. I am so getting ready for my test, although nearly turning onto the M5 was a bit of a fright! Luckily I was able to pull over and change lane when the traffic was clear. I wish they would make those signs a little clearer by Burnham on Sea!
