yes the mucoff cleaner works i had one for my push bike (i use the same chain oil as on the sv) and it does indeed work well apart from when you drop a dumbbell on it they sort of smash

Been using WD-40 and a rag to get chains spotless for years with no problems.

It's fairly cheap here in the US.
And it smells better, makes less mess, etc. than paraffin.

i thourght white spirit was different tho and would damage rubber. alcohol isnt it?

I thought you were recommending the brake cleaner for the chain!
Yeah I like wurth stuff, pricey though.

white spirit, turps and a large sponge plus chain lube of your choosing.

Did this for a bit then got bored now use degrasant spray hose pipe and spray on lube.
