yey... someone has there head on.. you are looking for nLite, pizzzz easy to do if its just drivers. do them all the time.

I don't think the unattended route will work as the install disk can't even see the hard drive to install the drivers too? I dont know how the unattended thing works but unless it installs the drivers for the hard drive first it still wont work..

I have a USB A drive turning up to day... will wait and see

That's exactly how it works. User either method you are basically creating a new install disk that has the extra drivers already in place. These are loaded up along with all the other standard drivers during that first XP file copy / load install prog into memory phase.

nLite is indeed the easier route, but the manual process teaches you all about how the process works (if you're a geeky IT bod like me!)

OK cool, i didnt see how it could install the hard drive driver without seeing the hard drive.. I guess thats just magic?
