True, but how many complete novices would you think would buy a copy, then read, absorb and abide by it if they didn't have to? Not many I reckon.

You DON'T have to.

You just need to pass your test.

Stopping distances and common sense will get you half way there.

No other vehicle on the road can be taken on there without some license or training etc, fair enough I know a big chunk of riders probably have a car or motorbike license so they know the road a bit.

Turn 16 get your provisional you can drive a tractor weighing many tonnes, pull a trailer many more tonnes tractors are fast for their size nowadays to! No training whatsoever!! One major flaw in the system in my view.

The Gaz bloke needs a good slap. I know where he rides, Croydon, Elmers End and a like. The bit near the end where he was on a bridge in the middle of the road he is able to do 30mph down there but he thought it was better to annoy the drive and go 15 and blocking the road. What I want to know is why. Seemed to be looking for confrontation.

The rest seemed to be a place of looking for blame on who was right or wrong.

Seemed pretty balanced and although I've seen the majority of those videos before on youtube, It was good to hear each side of the argument.

Some of it doesnt make for comfortable viewing and I found myself going over my own accident from a couple of years back... which isnt nice.

I think it was the mum of the girl that died that said.

"Its a competition when it needs to be more of a co-operation"

Thats pretty much my take on it to. Theres some good and simple lessons there for all cyclists and it was good to see the piece about defensive riding and taking primary explained.

At the end of the day, there are complete ****s everywhere. Some drive, some cycle, some ride motorbikes, some step into the road ipodded up without a care in the world. Your mode of transport doesn't really change your attitude but it can dramatically change the implications of your attitude.

Agreed! Nice to see a balanced show for once!

One thing I agree on though is about dominating the lane or line when required, something I often do on the motorbike. I hate it when I see moped riders or cyclists riding in the gutter, enticing cars to squeeze through.

That droid guy has gained over 700 subs over night on youtube, I can only dream of such publicity :P
