Who cares, it's a bike jacket, and they are bugs! Brush 'em off with a gloved hand and live a little...

The same brand also do a chainlube which is real cheap, works a treat and fairly low-fling. 151 Dream Machine Chain Lube. Hmm, guess they do a whole range, and going by this thread worth keeping an eye out for. Sure as hell beats £7 or 8 for a spray can from local bike shops...

With all this hot weather, it's the *inside* of my jacket that needs cleaning most.

You could become one of the T shirt brigade and wear a t shirt on the outside of yer kit?

Otherwise, wait til it rains. Rain water usually does a good job of cleaning bugs off, must be this acid rain lark.

Or, go buy a Rukka jacket, drop it in a cool gentle wash twice a year and never worry about reproofing it :P

Seems one of the pleasures of the open faced lid era are likely to go a missing here.

The question used to be.."How can you tell a happy motorcyclist?"

Answer....."By the dead flies on his teeth!" :P :P :P
