I've no experience with the Gwent Police, but on an event like you describe they are going to be more interested in teaching than booking. They may have a word to say about your plate, but I would go with the "It was on it when I got it Officer, what should it be - I'll get it sorted". If you have the two plate job you are talking about it will look more suspicious".
The coppers I met at a Bikesafe course said they are tired of scraping bikers off the road, they want you to ride better and safely. They were not so concerned with small infringments like plates and loud cans. |
