5/6 per gallon plus 1d for the two stoke mix. Thats 67/240 of todays pound and 4.546lts to the gallon
Things were cheaper then but I only earned £5:18:7 a week as an apprentice
When you work it all back it equates to a 1st year apprentice earning about £95 per week today so in real life nothing changes that much

Have a guess at the year

Currently paying 102.9 and hasn't been under a quid/litre for at least a year to 18months i suppose.

I paid over £15 (for 15.6litres) on tuesday filling the bike after doing 128miles from a full tank. Jeez, i thought bikes were supposed to be cheap runarounds......

So u lot!!!! Stop yer moaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on those numbers you are only getting 37mpg so ease off the throttle if you want it to be cheaper!

Yeah like thats why we ride bikes!

Yeah, i normally get low 40's or thereabouts. Maybe a little more two-up riding than usual i guess.

Anyway Skip, 37mpg is still 17 more than the car can manage.
