Only today I was sat on Bovisand Beach with the missus & Kids. There's the usual throng of kids/people frolicking in and out of the water etc. Up drives a bloke on his water skidoo thingy - you know thise things with engines - bit like a motor bike specially for the sea.
So what I hear you say. Gets my goat that's what!! Why do these people have to come inshore to public beaches when they know full well that there are people in the water swimming ![]() ![]() PS - post 2K. Just thought I'd mention it - seems to be the 'in' thing to do.

My doctor says go stand in the midddle of some moorland and scream yer head off to release the stress and anger!
You try explaining to an off duty policeman that you are not mad and are quite safe to remain in the public domain!! Didn't work either....just left me feeling really angry! ![]() |

Blow into a brown paper (NOT plastic) bag and inhale again from the bag a few times. No I'm not nuts, it really calms you down. Try it in the toilet, then no one can laugh at you, and if it doesn't work for you then you've lost nothing.
Medication - amitriptyline in low doses is a muscle relaxant. You need a prescription. It sorted me out when I had severe stress, the day sort of floated by and I didn't get angry. It has the added advantage that it will make you sleep like a baby. |

Kill someone for no good reason...it doesn't work at relieving your stress, but at the very least the courts will put you inside away from all the nice people you're shouting at, and we can enjoy parking illegally without you bothering us..

I used to be a complete stress fiend, but ever since having a brush with Death - well, more a kind of invite Him over for a cuppa and a chat
![]() I probably could be confrontational if someone were to be like that with me, but I think only in a 'protective' sense. But if I see someone acting like a twit on the road, it generally just makes me feel sad, at the state of their driving/intelligence/the world in general... ... not angry though. I then feel happy that it's not me, that I'm alive and not being a twit. ![]() Not sure where I'm going with this little morning ramble - other then perhaps suggesting that you invite Death over for dinner or something - it's all a matter of perspective I s'pose. |

My advice = don't take it personal
![]() ![]() If that fails, try taking up Yoga - supposed to be good for stress and if you ever DO get knocked off then at least your body should be in tip-top condition to help reduce injury and also to aid a speedy recovery ![]() Pete |

I find i get more angry when my missus offloads about her day and the way she's been treated by staff, patients. I find myself saying if i was you i'd do this, do that....
Sometimes she just wants me to listen, but instead I see red and want to kill anyone that has annoyed her (not literally ![]() car drivers do naff me off though, one cut me up yesterday while i was cycling and the expletives started coming out. Ending up cutting her up which probably wasn't clever, calmed me down though! ![]() I have a short fuse on the roads but a beer when i get home always makes me feel better, or blasting around bends ![]() |

I find I get a lot less annoyed by this after seeing some knobber who was driving in a threatening manner nearly crash his car and have the bodywork damaged by a load of bricks. These people do get their commupance eventually, it's just we're often not around them when it happens.

I have odd moments when some acts a complete c**t on the road and nearly kills me... normally followed by 2/3 minutes of 'heightened awareness' riding fuelled by adrenaline and disappearing into the distance, and then back to normal
