you have done more miles than me in a year than i have done i over 2, so even though i am unrestricted i would say you are a better rider than me?

Time and how quick you do it isnt a defining factor, its willingness to learn and push to limits, I wouldnt recommend pushing to limits but it worked for me. my second drop this year was testing my tyres in the wet this was down to unwarmed tyres. I can be erratic sometimes so i dont class myself as a good rider, as a good rider can be quick but smooth.

i think it is for the tracks liability insurance, as there is very little way of proving your bike is 33bhp without a dyno run on track, and even then ECUs can be swapped so easilly, if you are not licensed for the bike, thier insurance would be invalid, i.e if a bit of track came loose you woldn't expect your insurance to cover the cost would you? but there would be trouble if you were riding a non restricted bike.
