its like i've said all along, pointies are still being rolled out of the doors of Suzuki and you can take your pick pretty much anywhere. Granted you get what you pay for but there are a lot more bikes on offer in the fuel injected market. But, some folk don't like fuel injected and will pay for a rather nice curvy, perhaps amongst other reasons. My other half can't stand the idea of all the probs associated with the bells and whistles of his Raptor, and , would perhaps prefer it if it were carbed.
I for one, could blink and miss that a pointy rode past me some times, unless it really has been blinged....but i can tell a curvy anywhere. I think pointies are just rolled out for the sake of it these days, riding on the back of the success of the SV, but unfortunatley I think they've had their day, and it won't be long before they join the pointy 1000 SV and cease in production. i'm not saying they're not as good as a curvy, because they're the same lump, but with tweeks, and I'm not in the offending anyone purposefully in this discussion, its just my thoughts on things

It goes back to the 'future classic' question and i don't honestly believe that it has a chance of becoming one. The only half decent thing is the engine, but even thats not classic is it? Speaking as a past owner, the rest of the package is pretty awful. Its redeeming feature was always that it was cheap to buy/insure. |

In this one I remain neutral, I bought the SV as a bike, not an investment.

I've systematically destroyed my bike's resale value
