Cover the back of such bolts with a good gob of normal grease. The heavier the better.

Trust me on this, Jambo can attest that almost every bolt, nut and fastner removed from my SV has required a hammer, an impact wrench, a 2ft breaker bar and/or a drill. But then it lives outside 24/7, and didn't get used for 2 years while I rebuilt bits of it after crashing it. My ZX6R and GSX750 were both the same. The ones I removed got greased, copper greased or WD40'd and come out fine now. MT |

Copper grease seems OK, I seem to remember there being some other product especially for alloy fittings as well though. Ally-slip or something like. Or maybe moly grease?

That should at least prevent Electrolite in the first place , worth a punt , try it out on one bolt at least and see what occurs , better than nothing . You just gotta watch that it doesn`t get burnt off with the heat from the Exhaust .

It will most likely burn off, but it does leave a residual protection behind.
