When I was but a poor student living in student halls, there were two rooms in our block where the smells were exotic (not the usual stinky armpit smell either!).

Nathan's room was a smoke filled ghetto of loud dance music and the fumes of what ever weed he had acquired that evening and my room smelt like a petro-chemical factory due to cleaning my Orange Clockwork Mountain bike with WD40.

I would use about a can a month just cleaning the MTB, so to clean a big bike he would have to use this much...
