Jets are about £2.50 IIRC. See why I didn't buy a jet kit...

then I had to do suspension and brakes to match!!
I've got 72 with curvy cams. Only breathing mods and a slight ignition advance. It's cold up North though, that always helps.

I dyno'd on a hot day - been meaning to redo it on a colder day to see what the difference is!

Aye, it makes a big difference. A normally asperated 4 stroke piston engine loses 1% of power for every 7C rise in inlet temperature. That's the reason I never run a burn crank case breather system. My sv uses a condensing system where the hot oily gas condenses then flows back to the crank case. It vents to atmosphere to prevent pressurisation.

But if your engine / crank case is breathing oily gas at 100C + into the air box your on a fast train to power loss.

It was about 15C when I dynoed mine. But it wasn't too humid, only about 30% humidity. As this also makes a big difference. Basicaly the more water in the atmos the less room there is for o2.

Consisting of what? Is this just a set of filters on the crankcase breather hoses or something a little more fancy with a catch tank etc?

It's the standard catch tank but where it normally breaths into the airbox it's blanked off and it has a small breathing hole drilled in facing the airbox. As it's filled with baffle it condenses and runs back down. I've never had 1 drop leak out of it.
It works great, no hot air into the airbox and the crank case can still breath no probs. No leaks, it's all good.

Can I be a pain and ask for some pictures of this?
