Ah, so it's only the 03 model or there abouts that does it?

I've got a slightly odd tube on my race bike, it's got some extruded lines along the length that slot into the grip, presumably to help hold it in place, but it's not too great as the grip does seem to slip a bit .

Anyway, I had a 99-02 throttle grip lying around, tried that but it actually made it worse!

The usual race thing to do is to run a few lengths of lockwire round the grips. This also prevents them spinning in the wet!!

Done that .

Haven't put any in the middle though, as I always seem to end up with lockwire sticking in my glove, however much I try and push it down.
Grip could do with replacing anyway, so will try and get it done sometime soon.

I've sprayed hair spray in there, but it hasn't helped much.
I have got a quick action throttle on my 'spare' bike which I still haven't had the time to re-assemble into a wet bike. However that bike has the starter stuff on the left hand switch gear, while my normal has it on the right - doesn't seem to fit with the qa throttle.

Ah, perhaps the old grip is a bit knacked then?!?!? As a tip before putting the new one on, put some nice deep ‘scratches’ along the length of the tube to give the grip something to bite on.

Also with the lockwire ends thing, if you put a say 60deg kink in the end bit, then push it in the grip, it tends to pierce the grip a little and stay put preventing glove damage. You also have to use a bit of common sense as to where the end is.
