If you want to do it on the cheap, stick the speedo on the rear wheel, that way all the new parts you need is a bit of wire and a bit of chemical metal, total cost about £3.50 Works well too, 100% reliable.

Drop me a PM with an email address and I'll send you the how-to I wrote. I've stopped using that method because I'll be swapping the rear wheel with a different one, but it did me fine for years.

On the plus side, its grounds to go for a GSXR front end

Sorry to hear of your spill though, I was nervous on my new tyres until they where scrubbed in properly

200 quid for the lot? what kind of condition were the forks in tho? all the ones i can find arent that good and you have to go to about 180 to get a nice set.

think ill have to look abit harder.

The forks, yokes and spindle were in A1 condition, about 6000m use, and paid £100 for them. TL1000S clip-ons for £20 and the front wheel (with discs) for £50. Callipers cost £40, just needed a clean up and new pads.

cheers guys i think ill get gsxr stuff bit by bit that way i can get the stuff i want rather than have to sell stuff that come with bulk buy.

also, am i right in thinkin some sort of triamph wheel will let me use the original speedo? if so what one?

they will want just the fork mate, if your lucky they might do it while you wait, if unlucky they will make you come back in a few days

You've already dropped it just undo bolts and see where it all lands
