Yep I rode all the way back from Wales with the alarm in service mode.

I put the alarm into service mode when filling up with fuel and water had got into the keyfob and f*cked it up and I couldnt do anything with the alarm. If I hadnt put it into service mode I would have be stuffed as it would have armed and I wouldnt have been able to disarm it again.

I keep my keyfob inside my bike jacket now. I'm paranoid about it getting the water in it again.

I hate the data tool on my SV its a total PIA especially when filling up with fuel. The one on Liz's Duke is just as much of a PIA to.

On the datatool you can totally disarm it so that the fob is not required at all to ride the bike. On the Meta you have to use the fob every time, cos the immobiliser has kicked in, also you need to specifically set the alarm mode on the Meta otherwise some scrote can push your bike off without you being aware.

Why not just disarm the one on Liz's Duke while you're out.
