That's a good price - mine were OEM, and the cheapest local place I could find, as I had a minor disaster whilst doing some diagnosis.

Places like Buster's are cheaper but i'd have to work out exactly what type they are cos they don't list them for SVs (although frankly i didn't look that hard... didn't wanna know how much I coulda saved).

If i'd had to use the car for work I'd have spent more than the difference in fuel. Sometimes you need things then and there. Oh and the girl in the shop is *remembers Miss Ophic is a member now* er... has a very nice personality and is very professional

Well then who ****ing wants to know what fixed it?

So after stripping and cleaning my brakes having issues bleeding up because the mastercylinder was knackered I got a new mastercylinder and the brakes worked a bit but had the excessive travel problem. Well, after replacing the brake pads, lines and caliper seals - it turned out cable tieing the lever back fixed it. I found after cable tieing the lever back to the bar as hard as possible over night then opening and closing the bleed nipple on the right calliper and taking the cable tie off then repeating again for the left caliper the brakes are up to scratch.
grrr should have done this properly before splashing out on brake lines AND Caliper seals but I didn't have any cable ties so tried it with rope which obviously wasn't tight enough.
