Roca front conversion - is that the one where you blank of the existing mounts and use the side-lights as indicators?

If it is, then dont - visibility is next to useless.

Only mess with the lighting of your vehicle if it makes it better......

Try fitting it, if there are issues you feel you are unable to deal with speak to Pyramid.
I fitted the pyramid hugger on my K8 the other week. Went on OK, allthough I did take the near side pillion pegs off to make it easier.

There is a clunking noise coming from the bike every now and then though, which only seems to be happening since I fitted the hugger. Have only done a few miles since fitting it and haven't had time to have a proper look in daylight, but it seems to fit OK, just can't figure out where the clunking is coming from....doesn't seem to be everytime I go over a bump etc which I would expect if it was the hugger...any chance the chain could be hitting the chainguard?

Yes if the chain is very slack.

Best thing to do is remove the hugger, the underside will show any signs of rubbing or contact. Although spinning the rear wheel on the paddock stand will also show this.

thats exactly the noise i had which was it rubbing underside...hence i have sent it back...the comments earlier about making your own bracket are right, (although pyramid sent ups to my house to collect mine) i have not heard back yet...their bracket which fits 'around' the swingarm is f*cking useless (excuse the language) as theres no room for adjustment and its too tight...looks good but too tight...it would appear we are all having the same issues here...frustrating isnt it !!

im now huggerless and waiting to hear what they will do....

I have a K8 as well.

I thought the swingarm bracket was quite tight, but that was kind of reassuring, knowing that it wouldn't/shouldn't move over time.

When I fitted the hugger initially, it took a few mins to get the positioning right so the tyre didn't rub, but once I found the right location, I tightened up the bolts and it didn't seem to rub again. To be honest, I only noticed the clunking after I'd had the hugger fitted for a few days, as, using the bike for the daily commute, I have ear plugs or iPod in so that, coupled with the wind noise meant I couldn't hear it previously.

Only when I took Nobbylass out a few days later round the local roads did I notice the clunking, which at first sounded like something hitting the bottom of the engine. Had a look around (in the dark) and couldn't see anything and haven't used the bike since due to the ice.

I'll get it on the paddock stand at the weekend and have a shufty, it's dark when I leave in the mornings and dark when I get home so no opportunity to look before then.

Interesting, the K8 and K9 share the same swingarm so I am guessing that maybe the mounting points are slightly different to the early models. Might be worth mentioning to Pyramid.

Rear brake hose secured properly? All bolts tightened fully? Chain not too slack?
