Default Will a 1000 Lump gor Straight into my 650 ?

I can get one from a front ended 1000 and wondered if I could just swap it for my 650?

Comments and suggestions please.

Happy new year.

To the best of my knowledge, no is the simple answer. I'm sure someone will explain better, but the SV1000 and the 650 are very different bikes, they just look like each other is all.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's not going to work. While the 650 and thou look almost identical they share almost no common parts. Sorry dude

Hmm maybe then the other ?? is will my front end fit the 1000? Forks are bent on it.

Thanks for your comments.

Again, the front end from a 650 is designed to cope with differant demands from the 1000; I would think that the 1000 front end is firmer, and thicker forks, to cope with the extra weight of the thou

A tl1000s front end might go on...

Yeah, especially given that the 650s forks are arguably it's weak spot (well, if not weak, then just the bit where the budget shows most), I'd not want to stick them on a heavier more powerful bike. People have been known to stick (with a bit of hammering involved) gixxer front ends on 650s mind.

SV1000 lump will NOT fit a 650 without major frame mods.

The stock SV650 forks are generally considered the weakest part of the 650, so even if they did fit (pretty sure they wouldn't) I would definitely not want to put them on a sv1000.

There are both standard and GSXR fronts ends available on ebay for the SV 1000 at the moment.

I've heard that the 650 can go into the thou with some more spacers, but not tother way round. (possibly very dodgy info that! 3rd hand from my mates cousins dogs auntie....)

Putting GSXR forks onto the SV thou is how I'd go about it, not sure what bearings you'd need, if you're lucky it'd be a straight swap like for the pointy. (if you even needed the different yokes?)
