I'm making a tail tidy, you need a reflector for the MOT.
If you were to take a normal standard numberplate and stick a reflector onto it, but in between the lettering and the bottom of the numberplate, not obscuring any of the registration lettering, would that be legal? For example, on this plate, sticking a rectangular reflector over the www.fun125.com lettering ![]() Thanks Last edited by -Ralph-; 02-01-11 at 07:37 PM. |

A tail tidy for the SV wouldn't be difficult to make BTW, it's just a couple of bits of sheet metal cut to a template with a few straight bends. I recently sold one http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=159661 and it would have been very easy to fabricate a copy.

Number plate light I will have, it's built into the underside of the tail light, just that the numberplate will be hanging immediately below that tail light and not several inches below it. Reg plate will actually be better illuminated at night.

You calling me a c**t?
![]() You won't see anything TBH, the way the existing snow shovel bolts in, it will just need a rectangular piece of alumninum sheet with a straight 60 degree bend and holes in the right place to bolt into the subframe, the rear light, and to bolt on the numberplate. It will be hidden and none of the actual aluminium sheet will be showing unless you go sticking your head under the bike looking for it Last edited by -Ralph-; 02-01-11 at 07:52 PM. |

I'm looking at one of these (making) and sticking the reflector on the plate or numberplate light
