I've just seen the previous post, after writing this one (in outlook
![]() Cheers! Hello everyone, Can someone please explain to me how fitting an exhaust like a Quill T3 works? Do I have to cut off the standard exhaust? Where do I make the cut? Will it then fix to the same support bracket point? I'm keen to track down a used T3. can't really justify a new one as it is too much money compared with the value of the bike! Also, an exhaust which is in good/reasonable condition will better match a bike in 'good/reasonable' condition, than a mint exhaust!! E.g. don't mind if it has a few scuffs etc. Is it possible to buy a T3 for another model if one comes up, then buy an adaptor to make it fit my curvey SV? If so, how much are the adaptors? Finally, what is better round or oval, or does it make no odds? Sorry for the bombardement of questions! Cheers, Chris |

I had Quill T3s on my ZX-9R and my Gixer thou, basically because I wanted the power boost without the extra noise of a race can. They are really well made and do exactly what they were intended to. My Gixer made 5bhp more just for fitting the can, I never put the ZX-9R on the dyno so I have no idea what power gains were
