texted fizz he says Rich came off ! but he ok..
oh shizz :(
Would have to be the viffer - could colour-match it to the helmets (I've seen one - it would suit Quiffs cleaning OCD to a tee if it had the full kit).

Shiela shouldn't be shy with that underarm of hers, I'm surprised she's not some underworld enforcer!:help:

rich was really lucky.Half way between Porlock and Minehead ,there is a series of double bends. He took the first with his usual aplomb ,but I came to the second to see him head planted into a hedge on the other side of the road. His bike was 25 m away in a ditch.......Thank god for the crash bungs

still not cleaned my bike ! had a lazy day lookin at e bay and auto trader.
I concur with all of the above- ta to everyone. sorry I was a wee bit off colour sat night and was quiet and in bed early..
was ace weekend.. thanks to one and all and hope you Ok Rich.
Thanks to everyone, was a brill weekend and we were so lucky with the weather considering what it was like last time.
As for my journey home, well that wasn't much fun. I think it was a mixture of cold tyres, **** on the bike and cr@p on the road from the recent rain. Never mind, i'm abit sore and bruised now where I ended up in the bush, but nothing broken so thats the main thing. I was lucky there was nothing coming the other way otherwise i'd be brown bread.
The R & G, did a fantastic job, saved the frame and engine from alot of damage. Only cosmetics to be replaced, it's a shame the bike ended up in the ditch as I think thats what bust the fairing and the majority of it's mounts.
One last thanks to widepants ;-) for keeping me calm and picking up the bike!
Pics to follow
One gutted Rich :-(
oh dear
but it sounds like you got off lightly?

Yes she did, but as she said in her email, "I'm sure many of you noticed that many folk seem reluctant to drive slowly"
The overall tone of it was positive and I dont think we'll have any issues if we decide to back for a repeat visit
Great news and good PR there Fizz. I had planned to call, but have been putting it off (I wonder why :D)
Aug Bank Holiday next year anyone????

Check out the upgrade i wanna make. It will give us loads more room next year.
http://www.somersetcamping.co.uk/products/vango-amazon-600-frame-tent-sage-green-2009-model-sale-sale/248/
so none of us will need tents next year?

Fark me!!!
You gonna be charging for undercover parking next time then???
At least it'd save Rich bringing his bike cover...;)

04-09-09, 07:29 AM
It's only a 6 man tent, and we haven't bought it yet. Gonna go and look at one at the weekend, but obviously we run an open door policy on our camping trips so squatters would not be evicted.
Looks rather nice that Liz... Room to park two bikes and still sleep 4 I reckon.
Any feedback from Outwell?

Outwell don't deal with anyone direct any complaints or issues and you have to go through the shop you purchased it from. Looks like i may have to go down to Barnstaple:(
How typical...
Still, you've probably got good reason to ask for a refund. Having only pitched it twice and used it properly once. ;)
phil24_7
04-09-09, 03:49 PM
"Not fit for the purpose intended". Don't take any crap, a FULL refund is the only acceptable offer.
Go stick it to em Liz!

That tents mahooosive!!! Think i'll buy a camper like caz's and park the bike in that, i'll sleep in a tent! :-D
At least it'd save Rich bringing his bike cover...;)

Me too Caz, was a reet laugh. HAS to be done again next year, perhaps we'll camp in the site next door though he seemed more biker friendly. Although I think Hovis had a chance with the wench on the reception, she waved at him everytime he went past!! :D
