Keep with it kwak, once you get to learn maps and the way the battles unfold in those maps you start to see certain no go zones and areas which would give you an advantage. Tbh it's mad frustrating but you'll have a good gam. N that'll be you hooked trying to better that good game :)

Either invite them or vive versa.
But if you click triangle when your on home screen in friends sometimes it comes up join session, sometimes you will be on opposite sides, its pot luck.

I'm a total newb, just got PS3 for Xmas and am now so good at this game that I can survive for almost 40 seconds on "Super easy" mode.

I expect the first time I play online, I will be mincemeat.

it may seem expensive at £105, but well worth the pennys that I saved up.

impressive Dolby Digital surrounds feel (4 mini speaker in each ear! front, centre, back and bass channels) with good detail and sound range (I can hear direction of gunfire/foot steps in cod) lots of control over each channel's volumn, inc mic level.

I watch films/play games on it and I can say it is as good or better then a £400 5.1 system setup! :thumleft:

Dammit! It took friggin ages to get a name that wasn't already in use so i'm not looking forward to going thru all that palaver again :roll:

You and me both mate. It got to a point where i was laughing at all the different ways they were killing me. One guy was quick enough to run at me, get a claymore out and plant it in front of me and blow me to bits before i even fired one shot at him!
I know with these games tho a lot of it is in knowing the map really well. At the moment i'm just wandering about aimlessly for the most part. May as well be wearing a sign saying "practice your kills on me"

I'm a lot better at SOCOM tbh.

Not sure if you are already but FYI a hard wire connection will always be better. I test mine, using wireless is up to 6 MB which is good, but with hard wire its up to 12 MB (may due to me having a crap wireless router) online game play is noticeably smoother. worth the extra wire running through the room.

yup. hardwired. think the problem is ping and latancy.

when joining games it starts looking for anything less than 50ms. (current ping is about 30..) doesnt find any so then goes <60, <70 etc (or whatever increments it uses)

so frankly i blame everyone else for having shonky connections :) therefore i am brilliant at this game and not as crap as i appear.

Embarisingly is was Gold Cross on MW1!! Only had a few hours on the new one, very impressed so far. Is campaign worth playing? I've only ever played online on the other 2....

the UMP with red dot, sleight of hand, stopping power and steady aim are good setup to start with, it gives you the best fire power and speed to react.

personally i'd take it back they don't all do this i hear a few have had teething problem's personally that's why i wait till at least the second generation of a console's manufacture before buying allow's for ironing out niggle's learnt that the hard way from the stack of dead xbox's sitting on my shelf.:thumleft:

Mine does the same but i dont think its the fan, i thought it was the CD being read as i played. Is that not normal then?

yea- its in the drawer wired up.. but when playing I stand it up with drawer open.. same as being on the table top then..

Kwak if you wanna have a few private matches with just me to get your experience up, i dont mind.
Good thing about private matches is the onlone stats dont get affected, so if you die 1000 times it dont show up on your stats.

All that is true for speaker cables as they handle analogue signals. I don't know all the technical reasons but HDMI is digital, it sends a set of zeros and ones from one computer chip to another.

I suppose a really crappy cable may not have a good connection and could fall out and thus reduce quality. However HDMI is not affected by magnets power cables or anything like that.

The fact that speaker cables make a difference means that people just assume (like you have) HDMI cables make a difference as well.

If you can tell the difference between a £5 cable and a £100 cable I would be amazed

It was my understanding that more expensive/extravegant cables were a must for an analogue systems, as the potential chance for interference was quite high, but for HDMI which is digital it doesn't really matter. I've only got a cheapy and the picture is fine.

As someone else has said HDMI is a digital signal, Ones and Zeros. It works or it doesn't work. So buy cheap as you can.

You need either the red dot sight or the holographic if you have them.
Steady Aim and Stopping Power to give you a better chance of killing them before they kill you.
I'd have a shotgun as the secondary weapon so if you find yourself in close quarters you can use that as one well aimed shot will kill them.

the UMP with red dot, sleight of hand, stopping power and steady aim are good setup to start with, it gives you the best fire power and speed to react/run away with ;)

would it be a good idea for everyone to change their clan tag to say.......S650, to make it easier to identify member of the org, , i see people come online and i dont know who they are, espec if they have a diff name to there sv650 name...........................
