Erm...excuse my bumbness but wtf is a noob tube????
Grenade launcher attachment. Basically its called that because the supposed "veterans" believe that skill is better demonstrated using a gun you actually shoot with. Rather than a weapon you fire into a room and will pretty much guarantee kills.
Personally I think that is rubbish. You adapt your play based on the weapons and tactics of other players. Same goes with people armed with grenade launchers. Just adapt your play to not get caught out....ie hide in less obvious places, or away from windows etc.

Ah, thanks Drew. The grenade launcher attachment is one of my fave things especially when playing against large numbers in sabotage or headquarters.
How different is is to just chucking a grenade? None really, so whats the big deal.
Any why have a moan about grenade launchers when so many people use annoying cheats is beyond me. I watch some killcam kills on me and its blatantly obvious the guys are using cheats. I'm lying down behind a wall in a building and reloading but the guy aint right for where i am and shoots thru the wall. I know FMJ bullets will go thru walls but how the hell would they know exactly where i am if they werent using cheats?
So to moan cos someone uses the attachment that you unlock by playing the game is just beyond me. Like i say i always use it and ive never has a killstreak of more than 8...and that was only the once so it dont really help my game much, lol.

I agree, dont get why people moan about them......
What annoys me is the people on the leaderboards who have hacked and so have silly high scores, on prestige 10, level 70. It makes a mockery of genuine people who want to get to the top.
Plus, saw someone cheat where they rocketed into the air, floated around then sat themselves on top of the building in derail armed with a sniper rifle and flare. Kept re-spawning each time. In the end everyone just left the game.
I think that Ifinity Ward and all the other companies should crack down on hacks and cheats. Anyone caught using them should be penalised somehow.

So agreed on that mate. But then if they need to cheat to be any good at the game it says they were never any good to start with. But it does ruin the game for others.

lag-tastic i reccon.
Got kicked off a few times last night cause of lag. I have been having some problems with my ISP though so that could've been it.
Was getting so annoyed with my camping team mates on those few plant the bomb games we were playing.
I would grab the bomb and leg it to the place where you need to plant it, only to turn round and see all my team mates crouching behind bushes.
Best tactic for those games is for the whole team to rush the place at once, as was demonstrated by the opposition in the game we played in terminal.

It's the same on demolition, I just kept going out there and getting shot to **** while sat on the flags while everyone else preserved their precious kill/death ratio back at base (apart from my clan buddys ofcourse :kiss:). Kept getting killed literally millimetres from stealing the target.
By the way is there a setting so you can turn off all microphones except clan people?
I half want to connect a mic solely for telling people to STFU

No way you can auto mute all but clan members but if you bring up the scores you can mute all the idiots individualy by pressing X on them

Yeah I'm always too lazy to do then some child or french **** says something and I rush to mute them then get killed - I don't learn :(
Find it mega distracting when people play music or say daft/geeky stuff all the time. Wouldn't mind if it was useful teamwork stuff like 'cover A' or 'they're going for b' or 'you stole my crate you little **** I'm going to find where you live and knee ca....' I mean 'hey that was my crate silly'.
I do like the odd team death match though :)
I just turn everyone off, even the people who I want to be able to hear sound like they are on a WW2 radio underwater and it puts me off.

At the start of every game, I just click and turn off every player other than those that I know. The ones that I know always tend to be able to hear well. Plus I find its useful on HQ for example you can help each other out. So next time a team member runs in a room, they have an idea of where that person was before.

Normally the mpk5 but i've been trying the vector with lightfoot, commando pro & marathon - i enjoy running about like an idiot.
I think mpk5, scavenger, stopping power & command pro is a fairly good 'run and shoot' combo.

Both on team DM,
got the first one on airport, the second one on the rainy underpass map.
got the harrier > chopper gunner + a few more with my rifle > nuke \\:D/
had to get very tactical, long shots, keeping the distance and not rush around, checking each corner, a bit of ambushing then relocating, and avoid head on fire fight :-$
the most heart pumping game I had when I was only a few kills away from getting the nuke key :D

Well...... I went and stayed with my mate at Nottingham Trent on Friday. He has a rubish xbox (a what?)
Anyways, hungover with 4 hours sleep we have a little geek. Bearing in mind I kept throwing grenades instead of firing - i only went and got a bleeding 31 killstreak! Was so gutted. Worst of all I was playing with his class set up and he didnt have nuke on. So hes stolen my killstreak and wasted a chance of nuke. His was only like 15 before!!
Well...... I went and stayed with my mate at Nottingham Trent on Friday.
I studied at Nottingham Trent a few years back, had great fun :D
Had some good games last night. managed to get up to level 67 :D.
Currently going through all the idfferent guns and trying to complete all the challenges to get as much XP as possible.
Had a great double kill with the Javelin while we were playing that team death match on Derailed.
Shame that was one of the only kils

the highest killstreak i ever got was 8 :( and most times i'm lucky if i can get more than three and get a UAV or if i'm really good a 5 streak and get my sentry gun :( I need to learn how to play this game properly not the pee poor way i play :lol:

You're getting better though Zig, it used to be you at the bottom all the time, now you're 2nd from bottom ;)
Only kidding, you have improved, i think your main problem is you stay still a lot.
Get a shotgun for close range stuff as a secondary, really helps.
I f**king hate that nuke killstreak, worse thing on there.
P1sses me off when you're winning and they unleish one of them.
Actually, shall we go on for a bit now before my wife gets home :)

Do you camp in the same place or run around a lot. I have started to get a bit better by staying in the same area but moving about in that area. Only problem is I get bored if I dont see anoyone for a couple of minutes so go hunting for them and then get shot.

Stay in a focal poitn, but move around. I often use heartbeat monitor, as you can quickly swivel and check if people are coming the other way. As an example, on Afghan, in the main bunker area, move between the two entrances of the main bunker, when you are by the one that leads to the poppy area, spin, of you see red dots just move round the corner so you can see the door etc. Then shoot as they enter, as soon as you kill them check the heartbeat monitor, if clear, go back the other way.
Keep doing that movement.......the main thing, is if loads pop up on radar or heartbeat monitor, throw a grenade, then crouch behind something. Only shoot openly when two or less are in front of you.....anymore and one will likely kill you.
It works for me, but some prefer just legging it. I try and do a bit of both.

I use that and with the Thumper as second weapon. Great for grenade launcher and with scavenger on you can keep replacing the ammo on it.
the trick is to stay within a defendable area that you know well, ie, bottle neck, entrance, quick exits, cover etc. if you get a kill, fall back but keep sight on that position as 90% of time the same guy will come back for revenge kill, don't camp as others will work you out and flush you out with nades very quick. so keep moving around within this area, draw them in and ambush them. if you can, have two of these defendable area and move between them :smt047

Agreed, they can be for noobs, but nowt wrong with using the heartbeat monitor.
People want different things from the game. If you want to increase your kill streaks.....then these so called "noob" tools help.
I go through times when I want to use sniper rifle and have the intervention now maxed out including fall camo......but some people just don't like sniper rifleing.

The only thing i noticed people had 10th prestige before xmas and the game had only been out a 2-3 weeks, there is no way they could have done all that without cheating.
And all this crap about noob tubes and heatbeat sensors, stop talking crap.
Use whatever you want, it just p1sses you off when you get killed by them, so what?
I dont get any more kills using them or not, i play for fun, i think some people take it way too serious.
I get more p1ssed off with campers and people playing hq like a deathmatch, dont even bother trying to capture the hq, just camp and get loads of kills.
All i care about is K/D ratio, im working on it, at least its positive now.

The K/D ratio thing is the worst thing about this game IMO and all the campers who are obsessed about it can ruin the game.

I looked at the top ten a couple of weeks before xmas and 4 or 5 people had identical stats, they had obviously hacked in somehow.
I agree, i dont see the point either, if it gets widespread, i'll stop playing and just play private games with you lot.

What really annoys me are the people that would rather their team loses a Domination or HQ game than their precios ration drops a couple of points.

I agree, but i like now killing people in the face as i said the other night (instead of shooting people in the face) at close range with the shotgun, its my favourite :D

the quickest way is a little glitch in the game , to get it normaly you need 100 kills with a hand gun but if you wait untill you get the magnum then use the first recon class, the kniving kills count as magnum kills so it doesnt take long to get 100 kills , " if that makes ant sence at all "

I tried the Tar 21 today, not bad at all. Since going Prestige I been using the Scar but might build up the Tar. Trouble is just unlocked the M16 and I like that too. OOooooo decisions.

What does danger close actually do, I thought it just detected tactical insertions and stuff

Danger close increases the damage from explosives like grenades and grenade launchers. On pro it increases air support damage
Sitrep detects the tactical insertions and claymores

I used to think like that but now find it much more fun to just run round blasting anything that moves . At the moment my assault rifle is tar21 (hated that fs2000 thing) and my closerange choice is p90, secondary with either magnum or dual rangers.

Ironically I used to think like what you think now, and I guess it remains fun. In fact I never used to bother, but worrying about the K/D ratio is more fun...it keeps you on your toes more and you get better.
Also, in terms of fun, nothing like seeing your username at the end of the game:
userx - 25 kills, 3 deaths or
usery - 25 kills, 20 deaths.
The fun is killing, which translates to rapeage. And you get much more satsifying rapeage done if people can't touch you as much. Anyone can run round and kill whilst being killed, gets a bit loooong after a while just doing that!:rolleyes:

I would lave to have a good k/d ration and I do try but I just get bored of waiting for other players to walk into my path on a DM and when playing domination or HQ I just go for the objective and don't care how often I die. Most of the time I get there in the end.
i prefer the famas to the m16 and the silenced tar21 is the nuts
Yeh I used the famas too but the damage wasn't good enough, and didn't wanna waste a perk increasing damage. Tar21 aint bad but not too accurate. Most people's beef with the M16 is the three round burst, but it makes you more accurate, and you end up developing a fast finger.
closerange choice is p90, secondary with either magnum or dual rangers.
Yeh I always use the p90 for rust. Used in mod1 the whole time on the army ship level as well.

ah see now that's not the way. All about getting those quick early kills (don't worry about K/d from the start of a level), and then use the UAV to hunt people down or wait just round the corner from where you can see they are walking. Waiting for kills may be ok for k/d ratio, but a static on a UAV is asking for trouble, and besides, you won't get many kills that way either.

25 + kills ,3 deaths you should get that if your rampaging anyway if your any good that is.
25 kills, 20 deaths iv never been that bad
