Took my clocks off today to fit a new cover and thought I'd change a bulb that had gone, but once refitted the speedo and tacho lights don't work. I flicked the high beam switch and one of the bulbs cam one, I changed the other bulb coz that had blown, now again the clock bulbs dnt work. Have checked the fuse and wiring. Any ideas?

May have found the problem but can someone verify, according to Robinsons Foundry the bulbs are 14v-3w bulbs and another site says 14v-0.84w, just checked the packet for the replacements I have bought and they are 12v-2.3w. Should these still work? Also can someone confirm the actual bulbs that should be in there i know all 3 are the same.
Just to clarify all the indicator lights work (i.e Turn, Fuel, Oil, Full Beam etc) it is just the clock illumination bulbs that don't |

So I take it 12V-2.3w will not work in place of the 14v-0.83w bulbs??
I find electrics confusing sometimes Also does anyone know where you can get them, I can't find 14v T7 bulbs anywhere. I don't really want to pay £4-5 per bulb from Suzuki. Last edited by daveyrach; 05-03-12 at 11:24 AM. |
