Default Shock mount rubbing on linkage

Just something that was picked up at my MOT today. The shock mount seems to be rubbing the link. Would that maybe be caused by fooked bearings?

I might be wrong but I'm sure when I fit the shock I usually have to slide the linkage over slightly to get it to line up. Is that normal?

Looking at the other links, nothing is centred. Again I don't know if that is normal

None of mine have mounting bolts rubbing on the dog bones.

What shock is that, it doesn't look standard?

the pointy dogbones/linkages move from side to side.

They all have side float.

Try turn bottom of shock round, might make enough difference to stop it.

Ok so the gaps are nothing to worry about. I'm sure I tried turning the bottom of the shock around last time, just because the bolt goes in from the other side in the haynes, but it wouldn't turn. Do I need to slacken off the blue nut?

Tension on spring will make it hard but there is nothing in there to stop it.
