I've seen quite a few people on here recommend Halfords Professional tools. Apparently they're of good quality and have a life time guarantee.

I'm sure others will be along soon to either back this up or suggest other alternatives

Silverline tools are decent you can get them from Toolstation, all hand tools are guaranteed forever, you have to register each online. I have a fair few and had no probs, very affordable too, got tap and die set and an easy out set for less than a tenner.

Buy cheap, buy twice.

Most of my stuff is decent well known makes, Snap On, Britool, Teng etc. However for sockets/sets these days I advise people to look at Bahco, well made and good quality.

I use clarke & draper - got 'em from machine mart. much cheaper than halfords, although mechanics I know do prefer halfords. Mine are doing me well though.

buy the best quality you can - it will pay dividends long term. I sell AST (UK company) tools here in Spain and they are guaranteed for life for professional use. AST do not sell direct to end users in UK but I can PM me if you wish...

Halfords Pro is what I use.

Good quality, easy to get, lifetime guarantee.

If your starting out they do some good tool sets to get you started and are normally on an offer, checkout their website...
