Default A shot in the dark but...help?

Me and my typically clumsy ways i have managed to cause damage to both pistons in one of the front calipers. Not yet rang any shops to see if they have any, think its too late in the day anyway and most places have to order bits in and i need lexi to get me to work on monday so..

Are there any orgers near me who happen to have a set of pistons going spare? I will pay and travel to pick them up tomorrow

Long shot indeed but thought it was worth asking

Matt

Not got any spare, but Fowlers in Bristol will be your best bet. Should have them in stock as their warehouse is massive and I'm sure the parts desk is open Saturdays.

The only downside is its a bit of a trek for you and you will have to explain to the muppets behind the counter what a motorcycle is.

Give them a phone before to check but chances are very high that they will have them in. Its going to cost you Suzuki OEM prices so make sure you're sitting down when you call.

As much as I can't stand using them due to the muppets that work there, they usually have everything I need in stock.

Yep Fowlers should have it, or what about Busters/M&P, they ar closer to you aren't they? Give them a bell in the morning.

As far as I know most places actually buy all their parts through Fowlers, I think they are official agents around the south west.

Would love to help you out but don't have an SV.

look on the bright side though, at least you only have two pots in your caliper all the one's I've had have four per caliper. I priced up new pistons and seals all round for the annual Thundercat rebuild....... About £210 OH MY GOD!!!!

Fowlups came up trumps in the end. They had 33 sets i could choose from so i went for number 22, ok not really (£40 a set)

I knew if i rang superbikes i would have had to wait till tuesday because lets face it, they are pretty pants!

So, calipers are cleaned, seals are in and geased up with red rubber grease, pots are in, pins are greased, new washers on the hoses and nice new SS nips so let bleeding commence

cheers for the replies guys
